Due to expansion, EMJC are looking for a Workshop Leading Hand to join the team based in Karratha.

The position may be a FIFO or residential role.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake various mechanical repairs to earthmoving equipment, tooling and workshop assets

• Undertake on and off hire functions for incoming and outgoing plant

• Provide guidance, leadership and diagnostic support to other workshop staff

• Provide supervisory coverage in the absence of management

• Ensure accurate processing of all electronic workshop data to enable accurate job costing, service records and similar

• Assess and process purchasing requisitions for parts, consumables and similar

• Provide occasional diagnostic support

 Essential skills

• Minimum 2 years industry experience with previous experience in a Leading Hand role

• Mechanical HD Mobile Plant Trade qualification 

• Broad knowledge of earthmoving and heavy haulage equipment - Cat, Komatsu, Kenworth, Drake

• Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines.

• Strong understanding of WHS standards and requirements

• Strong computer skills utilising the Microsoft suite.
