Process Operator (Crushing Assistant)

We are looking for a Crushing Assistant to join our team at Inkerman Mill. This is a permanent role at our sugar processing facility that involves shift work during the crushing season, including weekends and overtime, as well as day work during the maintenance period.

The Crushing Assistant is responsible for operation of turbines along the milling train as well as monitoring the condition of and attending to the operation of shredders, alternators, and associated equipment.

This position will be based in North Queensland's Burdekin region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. The Burdekin region offers a fantastic lifestyle with a warm climate, beautiful beaches, and a range of recreational activities, making it a great place to live and work.

Your Role in Action:

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Work effectively within a team environment
• Work safely and look after the safety of others
• Communicate effectively
• Be able to provide regular and accurate feedback to Operations Coordinators on a station performance and quality issues

The opportunity

While the following are requirements in this role, we are prepared to provide training to people who possess the right aptitude and team fit:

• Turbine High Risk Work Licence
• Working at Heights Ticket
• Confined Space Ticket

Desirable Tickets:

• Overhead Crane Ticket, Forklift Ticket and Frontend Loader Ticket
• Maintenance skills including trade qualifications, rigging, dogging, scaffolding licences
