This is a full-time position working in the afternoon shift (3.30pm to 11.36pm), where you will receive an afternoon shift loading.
About the role
In this rewarding and hands-on position, you’ll be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of trucks. You’ll have access to cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and ongoing support to grow your technical expertise. The role suits a self-driven professional with a keen eye for detail, excellent diagnostic ability, and a passion for providing top-tier service.
Your main responsibilities:
Safely carry out repairs, servicing, and inspections of engines, gearboxes, brakes, differentials, and more
Use the latest diagnostic equipment to accurately assess and resolve vehicle issues
Complete clear, detailed reports on repair orders, including supplies used and prioritised recommendations
Support and guide apprentice technicians in safe work practices and technical tasks
Proactively identify and report any hazards or safety concerns
You will need to have:
A minimum of 2 years on the job experience in the heavy vehicle industry in Australia
Certificate III in Mechanical Trade (Heavy Vehicle) or equivalent
Strong understanding of safe work practices and procedures
Experience with American, European, or Japanese drivelines is highly regarded
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, customer-focused team
A current HC/HR licence is an advantage but not essential
Strong work ethic, time management, and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safety
