About the Role

As a locum nurse, you will work across several well-established companion animal clinics within the Sydney South area. You’ll become part of a collaborative team that values high clinical standards, teamwork, and compassionate care.

This role offers flexibility with casual or part-time shifts available, making it ideal for nurses seeking work-life balance or additional variety in their week.

Clinic locations include: 

• Allison Crescent Vet Hospital
• Engadine Veterinary Hospital
• Bexley Veterinary Hospital
• Sylvania Veterinary Hopsital
• Kogarah Veterinary Hospital

Key Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality nursing care to patients

• Assisting veterinarians with consultations and surgical procedures

• Monitoring anaesthesia and patient recovery

• Hospital patient care and treatment administration

• Maintaining accurate medical records

• Supporting reception and client communication when required

• Contributing positively to team culture across multiple sites

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• An experienced veterinary nurse with strong clinical skills

• Comfortable working independently and adapting to different clinic environments

• Friendly, reliable, and highly organised

• Passionate about patient care and client experience

• Available to travel between clinics within the Sydney South region

• Experienced with anaesthetic monitoring and surgical nursing

• Confident using veterinary practice management software

Essential Requirements

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)

• Minimum 2 years’ veterinary nursing experience preferred

• Availability for flexible weekday and occasional weekend shifts

• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
