• Casual Food Services Assistant
• Located at: Peninsula University Hospital, Frankston
• Classification: Food and Domestic Assistant Grade 1 (IN13*) plus super

The Team & Role

The Food Services Assistant is an integral and valued member of the wider Support Services team, contributing to the provision of food services for inpatients while ensuring compliance with Food Safety Guidelines and Victorian Cleaning Standards. Working collaboratively within a team environment, this role supports the delivery of a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and staff through effective food preparation, meal plating and distribution, cleaning of kitchen equipment, and maintaining high standards of service. The role requires a professional and friendly approach in all interactions with patients, consumers and colleagues, supported by strong emotional intelligence, clear and effective communication, teamwork, consumer service, continuous learning, critical thinking, problem solving, and the ability to engage in courageous conversations when required.

Skills & Experience Required

• Food Safety Handler Certificate HLTFSE001 (post 2015)
• Able to function in a reliable and courteous manner
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Experience working in a large-scale industrial kitchen(desirable)
