About the Role 

If you enjoy working with livestock and want to be part of a hands-on sheep operation, this could be the role for you. Based across two Riverina properties covering more than 12,000 acres, you’ll work within one of Australia’s unique lamb finishing operations, where organic and conventional sheep systems run side by side. 

Your day-to-day work will focus on sheep, including mustering, stock handling and general animal husbandry, while also assisting with machinery operation, property maintenance and other station duties. You’ll gain exposure to irrigated pastures, grazing systems and modern livestock production practices while working alongside a supportive team that values safety, hard work and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities 

• Get involved in all aspects of livestock work, including mustering, yard work and day-to-day stock handling.  
• Operate tractors, motorbikes, side-by-sides and other station equipment safely and responsibly.  
• Help maintain fences, water points and keep the property running smoothly.  
• Keep an eye on livestock health and wellbeing, reporting any issues when they arise.  
• Pitch in wherever needed and work alongside the team to get the job done. 

About You 

You’re someone who enjoys working on the land and getting stuck into all aspects of station life. You take pride in looking after livestock, keeping things running smoothly and doing a good day’s work. Whether you’re out in the yards, on a bike, fixing a fence or helping the team, you’re reliable, practical and happy to lend a hand where needed. You work well on your own when required but also enjoy being part of a strong team. Most importantly, you bring a positive attitude, common sense and a genuine passion for agriculture. 

You Will Bring 

• Solid experience working with sheep, including mustering, yard work and general livestock handling.  
• Confidence operating tractors, motorbikes, side-by-sides and other farm equipment.  
• Practical skills around the property, including fencing, water maintenance and keeping things in good working order.  
• A strong focus on safety and looking after yourself, your teammates and the livestock.  
• A good attitude, a strong work ethic and the ability to work well as part of a team.  
• Experience working with livestock dogs will be highly regarded but isn’t essential.
