Duty Technician

  Purpose Support the Maintenance Manager in leading the daily hotel engineering operations at Mantra 2 Bond Street. You will provide hands-on technical leadership on shift, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all building plant, systems, and guest rooms. By maintaining high asset standards and coordinating swift repairs, you play a key role in protecting the owner's investment and delivering an exceptional guest experience.   Primary Responsibilities Lead maintenance shifts, allocating tasks and providing clear handovers. Execute preventative maintenance and conduct daily plant rounds to identify risks. Perform hands-on repairs to building services, plant, and guest rooms. Supervise onsite contractors, ensuring strict adherence to hotel safety protocols. Collaborate with Housekeeping and Front Office to resolve defects swiftly.   Skills and Experience Relevant trade qualification in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC is highly regarded. Proven hands-on engineering or maintenance experience within a hotel or commercial property environment. Strong technical troubleshooting skills across HVAC, mechanical plant, plumbing, and general building assets. Demonstrated shift leadership ability, including coordinating contractors and delegating work effectively on duty. Excellent communication skills, a professional presentation, and a genuine commitment to guest service.
