Operations Manager

What you'll do  

• Provide leadership in the implementation and application of an IT industry standard framework to manage delivery of state-wide production support and enhancement services for the enterprise imaging informatics applications and other related projects.
• Promote best practice for enterprise imaging informatics systems support and service management by developing and implementing processes based on the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
• Provide project management services for system related upgrades and expansions.
• Consult and liaise with all stakeholders and clients concerning the needs and drivers of relevant clinical business units, system users and eHealth Queensland, by establishing, developing and maintaining effective communication to enable client needs to be understood and met wherever possible.
• Co-ordinate production support for enterprise imaging informatics with ongoing project activity by leading a consultative planning process for the Queensland Imaging Informatics Support Unit, participating HHS based users of these systems and other relevant stakeholders.
• Continuously develop and improve enterprise imaging informatics systems and solutions that contribute directly to patient care and clinical decision making by identifying potential business, process and cost benefit improvements relating to Queensland Radiology Information System (QRiS), Enterprise Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS), Cardiovascular Information System (CVIS) and BreastScreen Queensland (BSQ) Systems.

About you  

We are searching for someone who has:  

• Demonstrated high-level business and operational management skills and experience, including in implementing and managing organisational change, organisational effectiveness and best practice initiatives at strategic and operational levels.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams within a clinical informatics environment including the ability to lead projects to conclusion.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including proven ability to effectively consult with, influence and successfully negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• High level of knowledge/or ability to gain a well-developed high level understanding of clinical workflows in clinical imaging and their impact upon clinical service delivery.
• Well-developed conceptual, analytical, research and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail that have been successfully applied to develop innovative practice within a changing environment.
