Warehouse Storeperson

About the role

Austone Tyres is seeking a dedicated and organised Warehouse Storeperson to join our team on a full-time basis at our Eastern Creek NSW facility. This role is fundamental to our warehousing and distribution operations, ensuring the smooth receipt, storage and dispatch of tyre products. As a Warehouse Storeperson, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, optimising storage systems and supporting the efficient movement of goods through our warehouse. This position plays a crucial role in meeting customer demands and maintaining our reputation for reliable service delivery in the automotive distribution sector.

What you'll be doing

1. Receiving, checking and processing incoming tyre shipments against delivery documentation

2. Organising and storing products in designated warehouse locations using systematic storage methods

3. Maintaining accurate inventory records and updating warehouse management systems

4. Picking and packing customer orders for dispatch with attention to detail and accuracy

5. Loading and unloading trucks and containers using appropriate equipment and manual handling techniques

6. Conducting regular stock takes and reconciliation to ensure inventory accuracy

7. Maintaining warehouse cleanliness, safety standards and organisation of storage areas

8. Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently

9. Supporting the warehouse team to meet daily targets and delivery schedules

10. Identifying and reporting stock discrepancies, damage or quality issues promptly

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience working in a warehouse, storage or distribution environment

2. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively

3. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and basic computer literacy

4. Valid forklift licence or willingness to obtain one

5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping

6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

7. Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling duties safely

8. Commitment to health and safety compliance and best practices

9. Reliable attendance and punctuality

10. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude

11. Experience in the automotive or tyre industry is advantageous but not essential
