Grader Operator

About the role

Force Enterprises is seeking an experienced Grader Operator for a contract position based in Nyngan, NSW 2825. This is a hands-on operational role where you will be responsible for operating and maintaining grading equipment on construction and civil works sites. The role will require the operator to be based in Nyngan throughout the week.

What you'll be doing

• Operating motor graders and related heavy machinery to grade, level and shape surfaces in accordance with project specifications and engineering drawings

• Conducting pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on grading equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation

• Monitoring site conditions and adjusting grading techniques based on weather, soil conditions and project requirements

• Communicating effectively with site supervisors, surveyors and other team members to ensure accuracy and adherence to project timelines

• Maintaining accurate records of work completed, hours operated and any equipment issues or concerns

• Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols

• Identifying and reporting potential hazards or equipment malfunctions to site management

• Contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment on site

What we're looking for

• Current operator's license for grader equipment

• Proven experience operating motor graders and related heavy plant machinery in construction or civil works environments

• Demonstrated knowledge of safe operating procedures and health and safety regulations relevant to heavy plant operation

• Strong understanding of site surveying, levelling and grading principles

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to take direction from supervisors

• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in dynamic site environments

• Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions

• Reliability and a strong commitment to punctuality and attendance
