Accounts Clerk

Foodlink Australia, one of NSW’s largest and fastest-growing foodservice distributors, is growing its Finance Team! We are on the lookout for dedicated and detail-oriented professionals to join us in the following roles:

🔹Accounts Clerk

Join our team as an Accounts Clerk and play a key role in supporting our daily finance operations. You will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, financial record keeping, and general accounting administration. We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised individual with strong numerical skills, a passion for accuracy, and a keen interest in accounting. Key Responsibilities:

• Work across both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.

• Daily Banking Receipting – Allocation and receipting of payments.

• Review aging ledger – contact customers with outstanding balances.

• Weekly customer ledger reconciliation (investigate any discrepancies).

• Monitor customer emails, responding to their queries efficiently and timely.

• Processing Customer Credit applications including credit checks. 

• Support and assist in any investigations regarding credit disputes.

• Month End Reporting, Ledger Reconciliation, unallocated funds.

• Reporting any ageing debtors and customers on stop credit.

• Back up for the Account Payable functions – including the below duties:

• Receiving, verifying and processing invoices for payment.

• Preparing and issuing payments to vendors via EFT.

• Reconciling supplier statements and bank statements.

• Maintain accurate supplier records, managing communication and resolving discrepancies.

• Assisting with moth end activities including accruals and reporting.

• Weekly reconciliation of all open purchase orders. 

• Maintain accuracy of claimable supplier rebates and discounts in a timely manner. 

• Any Adhoc tasks as requested.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles with the ability to interpret financial data.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

• Proactive problem-solver with a process improvement mindset.

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team to achieve individual and collective performance targets

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Dynamics 365 is a plus.

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or food and beverage industry.
