The Chef at Crocodile Kids Rosemeadow will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality culinary experiences within an educational setting. This permanent, Part time position requires a passionate individual who can create nutritious and appealing meals for students and staff, ensuring that dietary needs and preferences are met. The Chef will contribute to fostering a positive dining environment that supports the overall educational mission of the institution.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Plan menus that cater to dietary restrictions and preferences, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.
• Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and maintaining stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
• Monitor food costs and assist in budget management to ensure financial sustainability.
• Engage with staff to gather feedback on meals and make improvements as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Culinary qualification or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational or institutional setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with diverse groups.
• Creativity in menu planning and meal presentation
