The role

Nurse Next Door - Blacktown is seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker | Personal Care Attendant | PCA | Nurse to join our dynamic team in Blacktown NSW 2148 This is a casual position where you will play a crucial role in providing personalised in-home care and support to our clients with a range of disabilities and care needs.

Blacktown, Prospect, Seven Hills, Kings Langley, Lalor Park, St Marys, Oxley Park, Plumpton, Colebee, Schofields, Quakers Hills, Rooty Hill, Eastern Creek, Doonside, The Ponds, Mt Druitt and surrounding Suburbs

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility, meal preparation and light housekeeping

• Providing compassionate and dignified care to improve the quality of life for our clients

• Promoting independence, social inclusion and community engagement for our clients

• Collaborating with the client, their family and the care team to develop and implement individualised care plans

• Maintaining detailed client records and documentation

• Adhering to all workplace health, safety and quality standards

What we're looking for

• Must drive and have a car appropriate for transporting clients for outings.

• Experienced in administering PEG and NG tube feedings, and willing to work night shifts.

• Must have a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

• First Aid and CPR certifications must be obtained before commencing employment

• Previous experience in disability support or personal care, with a strong understanding of individual needs.

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in disability support or personal care is required

• Candidates with any type of Australian work rights will be considered for this position

• Both Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check are required
