AstraZeneca
About the role
Do you have expertise in oncology medical affairs and a passion for scientific strategy in breast cancer? Would you like to apply your expertise to support launch readiness, external engagement and medical strategy in a company that follows the science and turns ideas into life-changing medicines? Then AstraZeneca might be the one for you!
ABOUT ASTRAZENECA
AstraZeneca is a global, science-led biopharmaceutical company that focuses on the discovery, development and commercialisation of prescription medicines, primarily for the treatment of diseases in four therapy areas – Oncology; Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism (CVRM); Respiratory & Immunology (R&I); and Rare Disease.
At AstraZeneca Australia, we have been working to deliver the best value to patients for more than 60 years, and we push the boundaries of science to deliver life-changing medicines.
Our Australia and New Zealand Medical Affairs function is an industry-leading team transforming care. It generates and communicates compelling medical evidence. This evidence changes medical practice and develops AstraZeneca’s strategic direction. Within this environment, the breast cancer program is a strategically important and scientifically rich area of the business. Significant activity related to the period before and during launch is planned over the next 12–18 months.
This permanent role, based in our Macquarie Park, Sydney office, offers scientific and medical mentorship across a breast cancer product or therapeutic area. The position ensures that local medical requirements are fulfilled for product and therapy area materials. It also supports developing and carrying out the Medical Affairs Plan. You will work across Medical, Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory and broader cross-functional teams, contributing to launch readiness, medical strategy, scientific exchange and evidence generation in a highly visible and fast-moving precision medicine environment.
What you'll do
Provide scientific and medical leadership across the breast cancer portfolio, helping shape strategy and support impactful pre-launch, launch and post-launch activities.
