Lake Macquarie Private Hospital is a 187 bed acute Medical and advanced surgical hospital situated on the Pacific Highway at Gateshead, 15 kms south of the Newcastle CBD.

Are you a people person who loves a fast-paced environment and knows their way around a coffee machine? We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Barista to join our team on a casual basis.

As a valued member of our café team, you will be responsible for delivering a welcoming customer experience while preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, light meals, and snacks.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and serving high-quality coffee and other beverages.
• Taking customer orders and operating the point-of-sale system.
• Assisting with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with food safety and hospital standards.
• Providing efficient and friendly service to customers, patients, and staff.

About You

You thrive in a customer-focused environment and enjoy being part of a dynamic team. Your positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic make you a standout.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous café or hospitality experience (barista skills highly regarded).
• A sound understanding of food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong customer service focus and a friendly, professional manner.
• A willingness to work flexible shifts, including mornings and weekends.
