Aruma
About the role
Purpose. Career growth. Real impact.
Could you be the person a young person remembers because you showed up when they needed you most?
At Aruma, you’ll support children and young people aged 5–18 who have experienced trauma, loss and disruption. You’ll help them feel safe, build trust, discover their strengths and develop the confidence and skills to thrive.
Some days you’ll be kicking a footy, heading out into the community or celebrating a big achievement. Other days, you’ll be helping a young person navigate a difficult moment.
It’s not always easy. But it matters.
And while you help young people grow, we’ll help you grow too.
New Services. New Team. New Opportunities.
Whether you’re experienced in residential care or ready to take your first step into the sector, this is an opportunity to build a meaningful career with a team that invests in you.
What You’ll Do
As a Support Worker, you’ll help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive home where young people can be themselves, build relationships and work towards their goals.
You’ll:
No two shifts are the same. That’s part of what makes the work so rewarding.
This Is More Than Residential Care
Residential care isn’t simply about managing behaviours.
It’s about understanding the story behind them.
Children and young people in out-of-home care may have experienced significant adversity. Your consistency, patience and ability to build relationships can help create the safety and trust they need to move forward.
A conversation.
A shared laugh.
A successful school day.
A first step towards independence.
The small moments can become the big moments.
