CoAbility
About the role
Contractor Positions Available
Since 2017, CoAbility has been a leader in values-led, independent Support Coordination. As a proudly women- and queer-owned provider, we specialise in delivering safe, affirming, and culturally competent support to NDIS participants. We are looking for experienced professionals who share our commitment to participant-led support.
We are currently seeking experienced Support Coordinators to manage established Level 2 and Level 3 caseloads in the Inner North (think Fitzroy North, Thornbury, Brunswick, Heidelberg) and the South East (think Frankston, Dandenong, Carrum Downs).
We are looking for support coordinators who can step in, build trust, and ensure continuity of support from day one.
To ensure we find the right fit for our participants and our lean, high-performing team, we are offering roles with maximum flexibility:
Contractor (ABN): High-yield hourly rates for those who value total autonomy
Work Arrangement: Fully remote (100% Work from Home) with local travel for participant meetings where required.
These are not entry-level positions and require someone with a deep working knowledge of the NDIS and Support Coordination.
Driving results from NDIS plans: You’ll take the lead on complex plans, cutting through the NDIS jargon to ensure funding turns into real-life progress and participants hit the goals that actually matter to them.
Choice & Self-Direction: You’ll ensure participants stay in the driver’s seat, providing them with the clear information they need to make informed decisions and exercise genuine control over their supports.
Connecting & Negotiating: Linking participants with high-quality providers and negotiating service agreements that put the participant first.
Reporting with Purpose: Writing progress reports that clearly demonstrate goal attainment, providing the NDIA with the necessary evidence to justify the funding and supports they need for the future.
To maintain our standard of service, applicants must meet the following:
Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated NDIS Support Coordination experience.
Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Allied Health, or a related field.
Compliance: NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC, and appropriate Insurances/ABN.
Cultural Competency: Demonstrated ability to provide affirming support to LGBTQIA+, First Nations and CALD communities.
Unlike other providers, CoAbility is conflict-free. We don’t provide competing NDIS services (like Plan Management or Support Work), so we are truly independent. We provide robust administrative support, handling intake and compliance, so you can focus on the participant.
CoAbility values attention to detail and local knowledge. To be considered, your application must include a cover letter that specifies:
What you think being a contractor with CoAbility would look like.
One specific community resource or network that you frequently utilise to assist participants in meeting their goals.
Please note: Applications that do not address these two points will not be progressed.
Shortlisting may begin before the closing date. Previous candidates need not apply.
