Tweddle is a registered public hospital with its head office located in Footscray offering a range of early parenting programs including residential, day long and sessional groups at our main campuses at Footscray and Wyndham, and a range of specialist programs delivered in the community, predominantly in the west of Melbourne and Barwon region.

We are looking for casual Registered Nurses at our Footscray location commencing October 2026. This position would require availability for shift work, including night shift and weekend work.

What you’ll DO:

Registered Nurses (RNs) are key members of the clinical team, providing safe, evidence-based and family-centred care to parents, infants, toddlers and preschool-aged children.

Working within a multidisciplinary team and alongside our Early Parenting Practitioners (EPPs), Registered Nurses (RNs) are responsible for comprehensive clinical assessment, identification of risk and delivery of individualised support to families experiencing a range of parenting, health and psychosocial needs.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Undertake comprehensive clinical and mental health assessments, identifying health, developmental and psychosocial needs.
• Identify and manage clinical and psychosocial risk, including suicide and self-harm risk, with appropriate escalation and follow-up.
• Provide evidence-based infant feeding, sleep and settling support tailored to individual family needs.
• Respond to clinical emergencies and deterioration, including appropriate escalation and emergency management.
• Contribute to clinical governance, risk management, quality improvement and safe clinical practice.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide effective clinical handover.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and external services to support continuity of care.
• Provide occasional after-hours clinical and leadership support as required

What you’ll bring:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• At least twelve (12) months experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Experience in paediatric, neonatal or mental health nursing highly desired.
• Ability to work safely and independently within scope of practice.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to family-centred and trauma-informed care.
• Ability to commit to TWO (2) shifts per month.
• Ability to work across locations as required.
