We are looking for an experienced Senior SHEQ Advisor to drive safety, health, environment and quality excellence across our East Coast operations.

About the role

Reporting to the SHEQ Manager, you will be a trusted advisor to project and operational teams, providing practical guidance and leadership across safety, environmental compliance, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives. This hands-on role combines strategic influence with regular site engagement across multiple projects.

What you will be doing

You will lead the implementation and continual improvement of integrated SHEQ management systems, promote a proactive safety culture, ensure compliance with ISO standards, conduct audits and investigations, support sustainability initiatives, improve quality assurance processes, facilitate training and mentor operational teams while driving continuous improvement.

What you will bring

You are a credible SHEQ professional with experience in civil construction, infrastructure or another high-risk industry with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior capacity. You have strong knowledge of WHS legislation, environmental compliance and quality management systems, combined with excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills.

Essential qualifications

Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, Current Driver Licence, Construction White Card and Current First Aid Certificate.

Highly regarded

Environmental Management qualifications, Lead or Internal Auditor qualifications, Training and Assessor certification, Drug and Alcohol Testing certification, experience in confined spaces, working at heights or lifting operations, and injury management experience.
