MR Truck Driver

About the role

Westal Windows is seeking an MR Truck Driver to load and safely deliver aluminium windows and doors in various designs and sizes. You will be part of a supportive team in a modern, progressive manufacturing business with a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to builders and their clients
• Load fabrications onto trucks using a forklift
• Unload fabrications onsite by hand when required
• Ensure loads are correctly packed and secured
• Maintain a log book
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork behaviour and productive communication with other staff, especially dispatch coordinators
• Perform production tasks, yard duties, general housekeeping and maintenance when not required for deliveries

About you

• Hold an MR Truck Licence with a safe driving history, or start as an offsider and be prepared to achieve a truck licence with company support
• Be physically fit with good manual handling techniques; heavy lifting is a common part of the job on some sites during offloading
• Ideally hold a forklift ticket or be willing to obtain one
• Hold a Construction White card
• Be reliable with good attendance for previous employers
• Be able to pass a drug and alcohol test as part of the recruitment process
