SSA / Seams

Ventia have an exciting opportunity for a Store Service Attendant / Seams to join our team based in Melbourne VIC (Victoria Barracks).  Reporting to the Site Leader, you will be responsible for the distribution of Defence Force clothing for serving Defence personnel and tailoring of uniforms.
This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4pm.
You must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance and therefore, must be an Australian Citizen

What you will be doing:

• Face to face customer service, providing the best customer experience.
• Receiving, scanning, sorting, and placing incoming goods on shelves. 
• Assisting Defence personal in store with a wide variety of uniforms & badges.
• Answering customer queries regarding stock location and progress. 
• Assisting with regular stock takes and cleaning of work site. 
• Operating computer system (POS) to obtain details of stock quantities and locations.

Key Responsibilities: Stores Attendant

• Prior demonstrated experience in a customer service or retail environment will be N advantages.
• Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
• A passion for understanding customer needs and catering service accordingly.
• A team player who works well with others.
• Intermediate computer skills (Spreadsheets and Applications). Will be learning different military software systems.

Key Responsibilities: Tailor

• Measure and fit customer for clothing items.
• Perform duties of sewing ranks, insignia and badges to Defence specifications.
• Sewing duties including hemming, alterations and medal mounting.
• Customer service and record keeping of customers’ orders.
