Details: UC High School Kaleen is seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Manager to join its senior leadership team. This pivotal role contributes to the strategic direction and operational success of the school, ensuring the effective management of key business and corporate functions. As a member of the School Leadership Team, the Business Manager provides expert leadership and advice across a diverse portfolio including finance, human resources, facilities and asset management, procurement, risk and compliance, governance, and administrative services.
The Business Manager is responsible for leading the school's business operations and administrative services, enabling school leaders and staff to focus on delivering high-quality educational outcomes for students. The role oversees financial planning and budget management, workforce planning and recruitment processes, and the leadership and development of administrative support staff, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
The successful applicant will demonstrate highly developed leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive continuous improvement. They will possess strong financial acumen, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and the capacity to build productive relationships across the school community, the Directorate and external partners.
A strategic thinker with a proactive and solutions-focused approach, the successful candidate will be able to balance day-to-day operational demands with long-term planning and organisational objectives. A high level of professionalism, discretion and sound judgement is essential, particularly when managing sensitive financial, staffing and organisational matters.

Notes: This is a temporary position available from 24 August 2026 until 09 October 2026. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
