Claddagh Association
About the role
Make a difference. Build community. Support people.
Claddagh Association is looking for a passionate and community-minded Community Worker to join our team and help us support the Irish community across Western Australia.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants their work to have a genuine purpose. You’ll work directly with community members, helping people navigate difficult circumstances, connecting them with appropriate support and contributing to programs and initiatives that respond to the needs of our community.
You’ll also have the opportunity to help shape and grow Claddagh’s services as we continue to develop our organisation and strengthen the support we provide to the Irish community in WA.
As our Community Worker, you will provide professional, client-focused support across a range of community needs. Working alongside volunteers, Committee Leads, partner organisations and the Claddagh Board, you will:
The role offers a structured approach to professional development, with mentoring, reflective practice and progressively increasing responsibility across community support, programs, stakeholder engagement and advocacy.
We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, capable and genuinely motivated by helping others.
You will ideally have:
Experience with grants, reporting, presentations or working with diverse community groups would be highly regarded.
Claddagh Association has been supporting the Irish community in WA for more than 25 years. We are a community-focused organisation where the work you do can make a tangible difference to people’s lives.
You’ll join a team that values:
This is a role where no two days are necessarily the same. One day you may be supporting an individual through a difficult situation; the next you could be helping deliver a community program, working with volunteers, engaging with a partner organisation or developing a new initiative.
If you’re looking for meaningful work where your skills, judgement and compassion can make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
Please click "Apply Now" and submit your CV and a covering letter outlining your experience and why you would like to join Claddagh Association.
