Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Daulats Delights Pty Ltd t/a Spicy Bite Edge Hill. Located in the beautiful suburb of Edge Hill in Cairns, QLD, our restaurant is known for its delicious and authentic Indian cuisine.

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes, ensuring that they are of the highest quality and presentation. You will work closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team to maintain consistency and uphold our restaurant's standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to recipes and standards

- Ensure all dishes are cooked and presented to the highest quality

- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to maintain consistency and quality

- Monitor and maintain stock levels and order supplies as needed

- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations

- Assist with menu planning and development

- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff

Minimum Requirements:

- Certificate III in commercial cookery or above

- Minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious dishes

- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively

- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required

Salary:

We offer a competitive salary of $78000 to $80000 plus superannuation, depending on experience and qualifications.
