About Timberlink:
Timberlink Australia & New Zealand is a sustainable leading softwood timber products manufacturing and distribution business, employing over 600 people. Our world class manufacturing sites are located close to some of the best renewable plantation pine resources in the world - Bell Bay in Tasmania & Tarpeena in South Australia. Our fit-for-purpose indoor and outdoor plantation pine products are suitable for building new homes, renovation projects and other industrial manufacturing applications including packaging, pallets, and furniture components.
About the role:
As our suite of Wood Plastic Composites (WPC) products are growing in the market, we are now looking for a National Business Development Manager to drive sales growth, develop new business opportunities, and manage key client relationships with specifiers, distributors and builders for our entire range of WPC products.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to market expansion. Engaging with stakeholders internally and externally, the position develops strong relationships built on sound strategic plans to ensure the overall improvement of the product range.
This permanent, full time position reports directly to the National Key Account Manager and will be based out of our head office in Scoresby, with regular travel across states to support this growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation.
Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
Attend industry events, conferences, and client meetings to build relationships and stay informed
Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to align on business goals.
Create and deliver compelling sales pitches, proposals, and presentations.
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales reporting.
Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an acute attention to detail
Motivated and focused on exceeding key objectives and targets
Required experience:
Previous sales experience within an architectural or building material type environment
High prioritisation skills and effective juggling of priorities
Ability to liaise with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders as required.
