Commercial Litigation Associate to Senior Associate

Gordon Legal is seeking an experienced and commercially minded lawyer to join our growing Commercial team.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a lawyer with 5+ years’ post-admission experience who enjoys delivering strategic, practical advice to clients across a broad range of commercial and dispute resolution matters. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with sound judgement, a collaborative approach and a genuine commitment to helping clients navigate complex legal and business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad range of commercial matters, including contracts, business structuring, governance, regulatory compliance and commercial disputes;
• Provide strategic and practical advice to clients on business, operational and organisational matters;
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and transactional documents;
• Manage and advise on commercial disputes, including litigation, mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes;
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and referral partners;
• Identify opportunities to support existing clients and contribute to the growth and development of the practice;
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver high-quality, client-focused outcomes;
• Stay abreast of legal and industry developments to provide proactive and commercially sound advice;
• Mentor and support junior lawyers where appropriate.

Skills & Experience

• Ideally 5+ years’ post-admission experience in commercial law;
• Demonstrated experience advising clients on commercial, governance and business-related matters;
• Litigation and dispute resolution experience is highly regarded;
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand clients’ objectives and broader organisational needs;
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills;
• Proven ability to manage matters autonomously and deliver practical, solutions-focused advice;
• Strong relationship management and client engagement skills;
• A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within a team environment;
• Demonstrated initiative, professionalism and commitment to delivering exceptional client service;
