Extruder Operator - Fiber Optic

Fantastic Opportunity!  Our client who is seeking to appoint a Fiber Optic Extrusion Operator at their brand-new facility in Melbourne's western suburbs.  Temp-to-perm, they are a great company to work for!

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine set up
• Extruding to precise measurements & quality standard
• Operational control
• Threading & feeding
• Quality Inspection
• Cable threading
• Cable splicing
• Rectifying problems at the root cause
• Minimizing the generation of scrap
• Other duties as required

Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience in fiber optic cable making or plastic injection
• Technical Knowledge – understanding of the extrusion process
• Ability to maintain high standards & tolerances
• Strict adherence to safety protocols when working with hot machinery
• Strong work ethic, reliable & committed

Qualifications & Licences Required:

• Unlimited Australian work rights
• Driver’s licence
