Sheetmetal Trade Assistant – Permanent Full-Time

Location: Lilydale, VIC
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
Hourly Rate: $27.56 per hour

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Sheetmetal Trade Assistant to join our manufacturing team on a permanent full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a factory environment and is keen to develop their skills within the sheetmetal industry.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 3:30pm

• Friday: 7:30am – 1:00pm

• Saturday work will be required during peak production periods ( April – September)

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be involved in a range of factory and production duties, including:

• Spot welding

• Rolling flue and ducting components

• Assisting tradespeople with fabrication and assembly tasks

• General factory and workshop duties

• Material handling and preparation

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

• Following workplace health and safety procedures

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude

• Be physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks

• Be capable of heavy lifting up to 25kg as required for manual handling tasks

• Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship

• Previous experience in manufacturing, sheetmetal, or factory environments is desirable but not essential

• Have the ability to use basic hand tools effectively

Employment Requirements

It is a condition of employment that the successful applicant:

• Provides evidence of eligibility to work in Australia.

• Undertakes a Police Check

• Is able to travel to Factory Location in Lilydale.
