About the role
This is a hands-on, physical role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is confident on ladders, and has great attention to detail. You'll be part of the crew that brings each event to life – from collecting lighting gear at our warehouse, to installing and testing it at the venue, then returning to pack down and return everything to base. You'll also be interacting with venue operators, stylists, and clients – so strong communication and presentation skills are key.
Key responsibilities
Installing and packing down event lighting across Perth and the South West
Confidently working on ladders and at heights to hang festoon and fairy lights
Collecting equipment from the warehouse and loading/unloading vans
Driving to venues and event sites across WA
Testing and troubleshooting lighting installations
Communicating on-site with clients, stylists, and venue staff
General warehouse support and equipment prep during quieter periods
About you
Essential:
Comfortable working on ladders and at heights
Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual handling/lifting
Confident driver with a valid manual driver's licence
Available Friday–Monday, including some late nights
Strong attention to detail and a team-first attitude
Desirable:
Prior experience in event installation, construction, or similar hands-on work
Basic electrical knowledge
Good with hand tools and troubleshooting on the go
Well-presented and professional when speaking with clients and venues
Proactive, flexible, and calm under pressure
