We are partnering with a well-established accounting and advisory firm based in Brisbane’s South. The firm provides tax, accounting and advisory services to a broad range of clients including SMEs, partnerships, trusts and individuals, delivering tailored advice and long-term client relationships.  

Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will work closely with senior leaders and clients to deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory services while mentoring junior team members and supporting the continued growth of the practice. 

The Role: 

• Prepare and review tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals 

• Provide tax planning and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio 

• Manage client relationships and respond to tax and compliance queries 

• Review work prepared by junior accountants and provide mentorship 

• Assist with BAS/IAS preparation and other ATO lodgements 

• Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes and provide additional advisory support 

About You: 

• 4–6+ years’ experience in public practice accounting, with strong exposure to tax compliance and advisory 

• CA or CPA qualified  

• Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and accounting standards 

• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or similar cloud platforms 

• Excellent communication skills with a proactive and client-focused mindset 

• Ability to manage multiple engagements while maintaining high attention to detail
