Opal Therapy
About the role
Opal Therapy is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our growing team and step into an established, meaningful caseload!
This role would suit an OT who enjoys variety, wants more autonomy, and is looking for a supportive workplace where quality therapy and genuine client outcomes are prioritised over unrealistic KPIs.
You will work with children, adolescents and adults in the places where they spend their day-to-day lives, including homes, schools and community settings. The role includes supporting clients with everyday routines and independence, school participation, emotional regulation, functional skills, assistive technology, and practical strategies for families and carers.
Opal Therapy also provides services to communities across the Wheatbelt and Kimberley region, bringing OT support to remote communities and keeping the role exciting and varied.
This is a great opportunity for an OT who wants to be part of a growing practice, with the ability to shape systems, resources, service delivery and future clinical pathways.
Why join Opal Therapy?
We want this role to feel sustainable, flexible and rewarding. You will have:
An immediate caseload ready to go.
A salary package above typical market rates.
Flexible work options, including full-time or part-time.
Travel reimbursement.
A varied caseload across paediatrics, disability, home and community therapy.
Supportive templates, systems and resources to reduce unnecessary admin.
Optional rural outreach opportunities, including Kimberley-based work, for therapists who enjoy travel and broader community impact.
A genuinely supportive, values-led team environment
You will have the opportunity to shape your caseload around your strengths, whether that is paediatrics, functional assessment, assistive technology, adult disability, school-based therapy or mixed practice.
About you
We are looking for an OT who is clinically thoughtful, organised, warm and easy to approach, practical and confident working independently in the community.
The ideal candidate will have:
Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
Ideally, 2-3+ years of clinical OT experience
Experience or strong interest in paediatrics, disability, NDIS and/or community OT
Confidence working in homes, schools and community settings
Strong written communication and report-writing skills
Ability to manage a caseload with appropriate support
Current C Class Drivers Licence and suitable vehicle
Working with Children Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check/Police Clearance Check
Professional indemnity and public liability insurance
What we offer
$100,000–$120,000 + super, based on experience
CPD allowance and professional development leave
Laptop/work phone and therapy resources provided
Flexible work structure
Realistic caseload expectations
Supportive systems, templates and clinical resources
Optional rural outreach opportunities to the Kimberley region
Why this role is different
This is not a high-volume, burnout-style role.
We are building a service where therapists have the time, flexibility and support to do meaningful work properly. You will have autonomy, but you will not be left without systems. You will have a caseload, but not an unrealistic one. You will have room to grow, contribute and help shape the future of the practice.
If you are an OT who wants to do quality work, build strong relationships with clients and families, and be part of a growing practice with a strong community focus, we would love to hear from you.
