Casual Educator

About the role

Casual Educators provide support across all age groups and rooms within the service as needed, available minimum 2 days a week. You'll support our educators at our beautifully designed, purpose-built 80-place service in South Perth, open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing group and individual education programs
• Support daily routines and complete educational and domestic tasks
• Positively guide children's behavior and model appropriate interactions
• Supervise children at all times with a focus on safety and wellbeing
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate openly with families

About you

• Working towards or holding a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Availability across our operating hours
• Proven experience working in an early childhood setting (essential)
• A valid WA Working with Children Check
• Full Australian working rights
• Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, and commitment to child safety
• Skills in child supervision and developing observation techniques
• Knowledge of child development and early years curriculum
• Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively
• Current Child Protection and National Child Safety Training Certificates
