Mechanical Engineer – Data Centres At Goodman:
We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to help deliver hyperscale AI data centre projects at scale.
This is a role for someone who understands the technical detail of critical environments and wants to apply that expertise on projects that are large, complex and built for the long term.
You’ll work closely with our Engineering Manager, Design Managers, consultants, contractors, vendors and customers to support the design and delivery of high-performance mechanical infrastructure across our Melbourne data centre campus.
What You’ll Be Working On
Supporting the design, implementation and performance of mechanical systems for data centre facilitiesReviewing technical designs, RFIs and submittals across mechanical and related disciplinesWorking with vendors and consultants to assess equipment, technical solutions and customer requirementsContributing to design reviews, project documentation, lessons learned and ongoing optimisationHelping shape Goodman’s technical standards, including our Basis of Design and Technical Performance Requirements
What We’re Looking For
A degree in Mechanical EngineeringAt least five years’ experience in data centres, critical facilities or similar high-performance environmentsExperience with air systems, water systems, controls and ancillary servicesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specificationsStrong knowledge of air systems, water systems, controls and ancillary servicesExperience reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and specificationsUnderstanding of Victorian mechanical codes, standards and authority requirementsThe confidence to work independently, with remote support from a growing national team
