Designer | Buyer (Women's Accessories)

We are looking for an experienced Designer/Buyer to join the Seed Heritage team.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping our Women's Accessories collections across Jewellery, Eyewear and Gifting. Working closely with the Design Manager, you’ll combine your creative eye and commercial mindset to source, design and develop beautiful products that reflect the Seed Heritage aesthetic.

Please note: this is a part-time role (4 days per week / 30.4 hours) on a 12-month fixed term contract.

THE ROLE:

• Research global fashion, colour and lifestyle trends to create commercially relevant collections.
• Design, source and range Women's Jewellery, Eyewear and Gifting categories.
• Develop seasonal product assortments that balance trend, quality and commercial performance.
• Prepare detailed technical packs and product specifications for supplier handover.
• Build strong relationships with local and offshore suppliers, factories and agents throughout the product development process.
• Collaborate with Planning to deliver balanced ranges, manage OTB and maximise sales opportunities.
• Analyse sales performance to identify best sellers, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Monitor competitor activity and emerging market trends to keep the range fresh and relevant.
• Present seasonal ranges to internal stakeholders including Buying, Planning, Marketing and Visual Merchandising.
• Travel locally, interstate and internationally for sourcing trips, supplier meetings and factory visits as required.
• On-site role 4-days per week, based in our St Kilda Road offices.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 3–5 years' experience in a Designer/Buyer or Accessories Design role within fashion retail.
• Strong experience designing and developing fashion accessories, ideally across jewellery, eyewear or gifting.
• Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to translate trends into successful product.
• Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly Illustrator.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong technical knowledge of accessories construction and product development.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative approach and passion for creating beautiful products.
