Warehouse Allrounder - Aboriginal Community Store

About the role

We are seeking a casual Retail/Warehouse Allrounder to join an Aboriginal community-controlled store in Arlparra, a remote community in the Utopia Homelands, approximately 260 kilometres north-east of Alice Springs.

Key responsibilities

• Receiving, unloading and checking stock deliveries

• Replenishing shelves, fridges and freezers

• Rotating stock and checking expiry dates

• Keeping the warehouse and stock areas clean, safe and organised

• Maintaining neat merchandise displays and accurate pricing

• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock orders

• Safely operating plant and equipment, where appropriately trained and authorised

• Assisting with general retail, customer service and store duties as required

About you

You will be:

• Physically capable and comfortable undertaking hands-on work

• Organised, accurate and safety-conscious

• Respectful, patient and culturally aware

• Able to work effectively as part of a small team

• Resilient and prepared for the realities of living and working in a very remote community

• Previous warehousing, stock-replenishment or retail experience would be an advantage.

• A current driver licence is preferred, and a current forklift licence or ticket will be highly regarded.
