🏗️ BUILDING SURVEYOR / BUILDING CERTIFIERLevel 1, 2 or 3 | Full-Time or Part-Time | Kelmscott, WA🚀 WE'RE BUSY — AND WE'RE GROWING!Associated Building Surveyors (ABS) is a well-established Western Australian building surveying and certification practice, and our workload is growing.We are currently looking for an experienced Building Surveyor / Building Certifier to join our busy team in Kelmscott.This is an opportunity for the right person to step into a role with genuine ongoing work, a diverse project portfolio and the opportunity to work within an established professional practice.Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time work, we are interested in hearing from experienced surveyors who are ready to bring their knowledge and expertise to a busy and growing business.🏢 ABOUT ASSOCIATED BUILDING SURVEYORSEstablished in 2011, Associated Building Surveyors provides professional building surveying, certification and compliance services throughout Western Australia.Our services include:Building CertificationRetrospective ApprovalsNCC Compliance AuditsBuilding InspectionsCondition Surveys & ReportsBuilding Compliance AdviceConsultancy ServicesWe work across residential, commercial and industrial projects, providing practical and professional solutions to help our clients navigate complex building requirements.At ABS, we pride ourselves on quality, accuracy, efficiency and practical advice — helping our clients achieve compliant outcomes and keep their projects moving.🔍 THE OPPORTUNITYAs a Building Surveyor / Certifier, you will be involved in a diverse and continually growing range of projects.Your role will include:Conducting detailed building surveys and inspectionsPreparing condition surveys and reportsUndertaking NCC compliance audits across all building classificationsReviewing plans and building documentationAssessing buildings and proposed works for compliancePreparing and reviewing certification documentationProviding expert building compliance adviceInterpreting and applying the NCC and relevant Australian StandardsIdentifying compliance issues and developing practical solutionsLiaising with builders, designers, engineers, developers and other consultantsWorking with Local Government and other relevant authoritiesManaging projects and workloads independentlyContributing to a professional and collaborative team environment⭐ ABOUT YOUWe are looking for an experienced surveyor who is confident, technically capable, reliable and ready to hit the ground running.You will ideally have:Current WA Building Surveyor registration/licence – Level 1, 2 or 3A Degree in Building Surveying or relevant qualificationStrong knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC)Strong understanding of relevant Australian StandardsSound knowledge of Western Australian building legislation and regulationsExperience in building surveying and certificationExperience conducting building inspections and condition surveysStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organisational and time-management skillsThe ability to work autonomously and manage competing prioritiesThe ability to work collaboratively within a professional teamA current unrestricted Australian Driver LicenceReliable transport and a willingness to travel when required👷 EXPERIENCE THAT WILL SET YOU APARTThe following experience will be highly regarded:Working across multiple building classificationsNCC compliance auditingExisting building assessmentsRetrospective approvalsBuilding inspections and condition reportingWorking with Local GovernmentLiaising with builders, architects, engineers and other consultantsPractical experience resolving building compliance issues🌟 WHY ABS?A busy practice.
