About the role
The RoleSRG Global is looking for an experienced Environment & Safety Advisor to provide frontline environmental and safety support across our Victorian projects and operational sites. You’ll work closely with Site Managers, Supervisors and project teams across the business to ensure environmental requirements are effectively managed and our operations comply with relevant legislation, approvals, permits, client requirements and SRG Global’s HSET processes. This is a hands-on opportunity for an environmental professional who enjoys supporting our teams across Victoria, providing practical advice, coaching and guidance while helping drive a strong safety and environmental culture. Key Responsibilities: Providing practical environmental and safety advice to site and operational teams Conducting site inspections, audits, safety observations and environmental monitoring Supporting erosion and sediment control, spill response, waste management and noise and dust controls Monitoring compliance with environmental licences, permits, approvals and planning conditions Supporting the development and review of Environmental Management Plans and site-specific controls Assisting with incident and hazard investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions Supporting SWMS, risk assessments, high-risk construction work and permit-to-work requirements Facilitating toolbox talks, inductions, pre-starts and HSE training Supporting emergency preparedness, response activities and drills Maintaining accurate HSE records and contributing to reporting, statistics and trend analysis Supporting internal and external audits, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements Identifying opportunities to improve HSE systems, processes and site practices We’re looking for someone who is practical, proactive and confident working directly with operational teams. You’ll be comfortable getting out on site, building relationships and providing advice that works in the real world. The successful applicant will ideally have: Minimum Certificate IV in WHS Minimum Certificate IV qualification in Environmental Management or a related discipline 3+ years experience within an similar role Experience working within major projects, ideally in construction and/or civil Current driver’s licence and Construction Induction (White Card) Strong practical, solutions-focused approach to identifying and managing risk Strong communication and people skills About Us:SRG Global is a diversified industrial services company.
