Experienced AR & Credit Control professional — take ownership of a key Finance function

Bambi Enterprises is an established Australian wholesaler and manufacturer of premium bedding products, supplying retailers throughout Australia and New Zealand.

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable & Credit Control Officer to join our Finance team at West Gosford.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of the day-to-day management of accounts receivable and credit control, while also supporting a range of financial, reporting and customer-related activities.

This is an important role in maintaining strong cash flow and positive relationships with Bambi's customers.

Key responsibilities

• Managing the accounts receivable ledger and following up outstanding debts

• Managing slow-paying, Stop Credit and Cash Sales accounts

• Establishing and documenting payment plans with customers

• Building effective relationships with customer payment contacts

• Processing customer payments and completing daily Australian and New Zealand bank reconciliations

• Preparing debtor collection forecasts and monthly debt-management reports

• Preparing settlement discount and rebate accrual schedules

• Processing customer rebates and agent commissions

• Customer invoicing, including Harvey Norman and Domayne

• Auditing and processing EDI orders

• Providing backup support to Customer Service and invoicing when required

• Preparing regular sales and other financial reports for management and customers

About you

We are looking for an experienced and confident AR / Credit Control professional who can take ownership of collections while maintaining positive customer relationships.

You will ideally have:

• Minimum 3 years' Accounts Receivable experience

• Experience with Attaché or an equivalent ERP/accounting system

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organisation and time-management skills

• A calm and professional manner when dealing with difficult or slow-paying customers

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• The ability to work effectively in a busy environment and manage competing priorities

• A positive, energetic and "can-do" attitude

• A Diploma of Credit Management would be desirable but is not essential
