Cantonese Support Worker

About the Role

Australian Health & Community Services (AHCS) is seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to assist a female client in her early 60s located in Chatswood.

This is a contractor position requiring applicants to hold their own ABN. The role currently offers 2 days per week, 2 hours per day, with the potential for additional hours in the future for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing personal care support
  
• Domestic assistance, including:
  
  • Cooking and meal preparation
    
  • Household cleaning and general home duties
    
• Assisting the client with community access and occasional shopping outings
  
• Building a respectful and supportive relationship with the client
  

Preferred Skills & Attributes

• Cantonese speaking preferred
  
• Mandarin speaking is highly regarded
  
• Gentle, compassionate, and patient communication style
  
• Reliable, professional, and caring approach to support work
  

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
  
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion
  
• Current Police Check
  
• Own ABN
