Construction Labourer

Total Asbestos & Demolition is looking for gun, hardworking Construction Labourers to join our growing team.

This is a casual position with consistent hours and the potential to move into a full-time role for the right person.

We're looking for people who are switched-on, quick on their feet and aren't afraid of a hard day's work. You'll ideally come from a construction, trade or labouring background and be confident using hand and power tools.

No asbestos experience is needed. Full training and asbestos certification will be provided for the right people.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role working across residential and commercial projects throughout South East Queensland.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• General construction and demolition labouring

• Using hand and power tools daily

• Removing roofing, wall sheeting, ceilings and other building materials

• Asbestos removal work once trained and certified

• Setting up and packing down work areas

• Wrapping, loading and handling materials

• Site clean-ups and general labouring

• Working alongside experienced supervisors and removalists

• Following all site safety and compliance requirements

We're not necessarily looking for someone with asbestos experience. We're looking for hardworking, reliable people who thrive in a consistently fast-paced environment and aren't afraid to get stuck in and get the job done.

You need to be:

• Hardworking and able to keep up with a fast-paced crew

• Experienced in construction, trades or labouring

• Confident using hand and power tools

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work

• Reliable and punctual

• Switched-on and able to follow instructions

• A team player with a good attitude

• Willing to learn and gain additional tickets and qualifications

• MR Truck Licence

• Construction White Card - essential

• Working at Heights

• EWP ticket

• Forklift licence

• Previous demolition or strip-out experience

• Class B asbestos ticket

• Casual position with consistent hours fulltime hours

• Potential to move into full-time employment for the right person
