Branch Accountant

We are seeking a highly capable Branch Accountant to oversee the full financial operations of our Victoria dealership of 3 branches. This is a senior role with responsibility for payroll, banking, statutory compliance, floorplan management, reporting and team leadership across the 3 branches. The role can be based at either Cobram, Shepparton or Echuca.

The Opportunity:

•        Manage all accounts payable and receivable across the Victoria branch network

•        Process weekly payroll — manage employee setup, terminations and salary sacrifice

•        Perform daily bank reconciliations and manage cashflow reporting to the CFO and NFM

•        Manage floorplan payout and bailment processes per CNH/DLL requirements

•        Prepare and lodge BAS/IAS, payroll tax returns and superannuation payments monthly

•        Produce month-end journals, depreciation schedules and management reporting

•        Reconcile balance sheet accounts

•        Guide and mentor the branch administration team; attend monthly management reviews

•        Support external audit and annual statutory compliance obligations

About You:

You don't need to have done every part of this role before, but you do need to be the kind of person who takes initiative, is comfortable working across a broad remit, and genuinely cares about doing things right.
•        5+ years in a senior accounting role;

•        Working knowledge of BAS/IAS, payroll tax, superannuation and floorplan finance

•        High proficiency with ERP/DMS systems, payroll software and bank applications

•        Proven ability to lead and develop a branch administration team

•        Excellent communicator — comfortable with auditors, banks, statutory bodies and branch managers

•        Agricultural equipment or multi-site dealership experience is highly regarded
