New Vehicle Sales Consultant - BYD & Honda Warragul

About the role

The New Vehicle Sales Consultant is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while achieving new vehicle sales, gross profit and associated dealership performance targets. Working across the BYD and Honda brands, the position requires an experienced automotive sales professional who can confidently manage the complete customer journey - from initial enquiry and vehicle presentation through to test drive, negotiation, sale, delivery and ongoing customer follow-up. The role operates within a fast-paced and growing Warragul dealership and requires the ability to work effectively both as part of the wider sales team and independently with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively engage with showroom, telephone, online and referred customers

• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate vehicles and solutions

• Professionally present and demonstrate BYD and Honda vehicles, features and technology

• Arrange and conduct customer test drives

• Prepare quotations and negotiate sales within approved dealership guidelines

• Convert enquiries and opportunities into completed vehicle sales

• Achieve or exceed agreed individual sales and performance targets

• Provide a professional and welcoming experience to every customer

• Maintain regular and timely follow-up of enquiries and prospects

• Build long-term relationships that encourage repeat and referral business

About you

• Demonstrated previous automotive sales experience

• Proven ability to achieve sales targets

• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Confidence in negotiating and closing vehicle sales

• Ability to learn and effectively use new dealership systems and technology

• Ability to work effectively without constant supervision

• Ability to work collaboratively within a sales team

• Good organisational and follow-up skills

• Current Australian driver's licence
