Maintenance Fitter

The Role

Mulgowie Farming Company is seeking experienced, qualified Fitter to work within the maintenance department at our Mulgowie Packhouse facility, located in Bowen. As part of a small tight knit team, you will provide preventative maintenance and breakdown support to the packhouse and wider facility.

Your role

Conduct preventative maintenance on all plant and equipmentTimely repair and installation of plant and equipment & assessing and prioritising breakdown service requirements.Ensures all checks are carried out and all paperwork is filled in correctlyEnsure that all work meets all company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulationsFault finding and diagnostic repairs of equipment and machineryAssist the wider Maintenance team to identify and implement improvements to Maintenance work methods or procedures in order to improve machine availability

Consideration will be given to the following skills and attributes.

Trade/Industry qualifications (Maintenance/Mechanical)Competent at basic welding repairs

Highly Regarded

Experience on belt conveyors and augersForklift TicketMechanical Trade with Restricted Electrical highly regardedExperience with Refrigeration SystemsExperience with fault finding and repairs on pneumatic or hydraulic systemsExperience with Packaging and Labelling equipmentMust currently be resident in Australia or New ZealandValid work visa acceptable for employment
