BiomeBank is seeking a Graduate Scientist to join its Research & Development team in Adelaide. This is an exciting opportunity to build your technical capability while contributing to evidence-based research, product development and innovation within the biotechnology industry.
Working alongside experienced scientists, you'll gain practical exposure to experimental work, laboratory techniques, data analysis and quality processes in a collaborative R&D environment.
 
About the Role
With guidance and supervision from the R&D team, you will:

• Assist with the preparation and execution of experimental plans
• Conduct routine laboratory and experimental activities
• Collect and analyse data and contribute to draft reports
• Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and electronic records
• Follow approved laboratory methods, protocols and procedures
• Develop your knowledge of scientific methods, laboratory techniques and data analysis
• Assist with laboratory equipment, housekeeping and compliance activities
• Participate in team meetings and cross-functional projects
• Work in accordance with quality, safety, ethical and regulatory requirements.

About You
This role would suit someone who has recently completed or is nearing completion of a relevant science degree and is eager to begin their career in a hands-on laboratory and R&D environment.
You'll bring:

• A Bachelor's degree, or near completion, in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or a related field
• Practical laboratory experience gained through university, placement, internship or early-career employment
• A basic understanding of microbiology, molecular biology, biotechnology or a related scientific discipline
• Strong attention to detail and an appreciation for accurate record keeping
• Curiosity and a genuine willingness to learn
• The ability to follow established procedures and work effectively under supervision
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
