About the Role
The Health, Safety, Security & Emergency Management team at WA Nickel is a supportive, inclusive and high-performing team dedicated to protecting the safety, health and wellbeing of our people. We are seeking an experienced Security and Emergency Management Supervisor to help lead and enhance emergency response, security and medical readiness capability across our Southern Operations.
Reporting to the HSS Superintendent Southern Operations and West Musgrave, this Perth-based role (Kwinana) includes regular travel to Kalgoorlie, Kambalda and West Musgrave. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact, leading and developing teams that play a critical role in keeping our people safe every day.
As a visible and trusted leader, you will work closely with Emergency Services Officers, Security Officers, HSS leaders and operational teams to strengthen emergency response capability, uplift team performance and drive continuous improvement across the asset. The role combines operational leadership, capability development, governance and stakeholder engagement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys coaching and mentoring others while influencing positive safety outcomes.
You will lead the ongoing development of emergency response, security and medical readiness programs, ensuring teams have the skills, confidence and support required to respond effectively to a range of situations. You will also contribute to a culture where people feel valued, supported and empowered to grow and succeed.
As well as being the first point of contact for site-based security, emergency response and medical support across Southern Operations, your responsibilities will include:
This role operates on a 5D/2X Perth-based roster and requires regular travel across Kwinana, Kalgoorlie, Kambalda and West Musgrave. We are looking for a leader who combines technical capability with empathy, adaptability and a genuine commitment to developing people and creating safer workplaces.
