Customised Employment Support Role

We are currently seeking a male support worker to assist 2 men living on the north side of Brisbane with employment opportunities. One is located in Chermside the other in Wilston.

The role:

• Working collaboratively with the gentleman’s families
• Completing a Customised Employment training course
• Assisting the gentlemen to attain employment
• Approaching potential employers to discuss unmet needs in the workplace and how roles could be created
• Supporting the gentlemen through the process of acquiring employment
• Supporting the gentlemen in the workplace

Key qualities:

• Highly observant
• Genuinely curious about the individuals receiving support
• Able to identify skill sets and interests in relation to employment opportunities
• Confidence in approaching employers to discuss potential opportunities

Shifts: 2 shifts per week, hours TBC (potential for more work if all goes well)

Requirements:

• NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Car, driver's license and insurance.
• Completion of the NDIS Quality, Safety, and You module
• Rights to work in Australia
