Cleaner- Childcare Facility

Village Early Education Springvale

Village Early Education is currently recruiting a permanent part-time Cleaner to join our team at Village Early Education Springvale.

The primary focus of this role is cleaning and maintaining our centre and learning environments to a high standard, helping to support the health, safety and wellbeing of our children, families and team.

While this is a cleaning-focused position, the role is much more than that. You will be a valued and familiar part of our Springvale team, building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues and contributing to the welcoming and supportive culture we pride ourselves on at Village.

We are looking for someone who is approachable, reliable, well-presented and takes pride in their work, with a genuine appreciation for working in an environment dedicated to supporting young children to learn, grow and thrive.

Key Responsibilities 

• Build positive and respectful relationships through effective communication with children, families, and colleagues

• Maintain the overall cleanliness and presentation of the service

• Mopping, vacuuming, and general floor care across all areas

• Cleaning windows, windowsills, and glass surfaces

• Safe and timely disposal of rubbish and recycling

• Dusting and wiping furniture, fixtures, and fittings

• Sanitising high-touch surfaces in line with health and hygiene standards

• Replenishing cleaning supplies and consumable stock as required

• Spot cleaning walls and high-use areas

• Undertaking deep cleaning tasks where required

• Communicating regularly with the Centre Manager and team members to meet individual service needs

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential

• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively

• Strong time management skills, with the ability to work effectively while maintaining high standards

• Excellent attention to detail

• strong sense of pride in delivering quality work

• Victorian driver's license and own vehicle
