Where you'll be working
Join the Occupational Therapy team at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, providing high-quality, client-centred care across Rehabilitation, Aged Care and Stroke (RACS). You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary environment where collaboration, professional development and evidence-based practice are valued.
Work across rehabilitation, aged care and stroke services through a rotational model.
Be part of a 7-day service supporting clients with diverse and complex needs.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive client outcomes.
Work across both Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital campuses as required.

What you'll be doing
As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide assessment, intervention and ongoing support to clients across the RACS service. You will apply your clinical reasoning and professional expertise to deliver safe, effective and personalised care.
Assess clients and provide appropriate occupational therapy interventions within your scope of practice.
Communicate effectively with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams, maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Manage changing priorities and support clients with diverse cultural backgrounds and complex or challenging behaviours.
Participate in a 7-day rotating roster, including working with distant supervision when required.
Support student education, continuing professional development, supervision and reflective clinical practice.

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Degree in Occupational Therapy, recognised for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
Registration: AHPRA Occupational Therapist – general registration
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated clinical experience in an aged care, stroke and rehabilitation setting including experience in discharge planning, home assessment, home modifications and equipment prescription
Skills in planning, implementing and evaluating intervention programmes
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated effective time management and organisational skills
Current unrestricted drivers licence
Commitment to ongoing education, professional development and quality improvement with demonstrated ability to reflect on clinical reasoning and implement new learning into clinical practice
Ability to work in a team providing 7-day rotating roster
