Workshop Supervisor - Tefol Nth Qld

TEFOL North Queensland is growing — and we’re looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor at our state-of-the-art facility in Mackay.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands workshops, equipment, people and deadlines. You’ll coordinate servicing and repairs, support the workshop team, manage priorities and ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, within budget and to specification.

You will work closely with the Branch Manager, workshop personnel, suppliers and customers to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the workshop.

About the role

• Organising and coordinating equipment servicing, maintenance and repairs

• Planning and prioritising workshop activities to meet customer and operational requirements

• Maintaining accurate equipment service, maintenance and repair records

• Monitoring jobs against quality, cost and timing standards

• Coordinating labour, materials, parts and resources to ensure efficient workflow

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers and team members

• Assisting with site work from time to time when required

About You

We’re looking for someone who can lead from the front — a practical, organised and solutions-focused person who takes pride in getting the job done properly.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience supervising or leading a workshop, maintenance or service team

• A trade and/or engineering background

• Experience in transport, mining, heavy equipment or industrial manufacturing

• Strong understanding of equipment servicing, maintenance and repairs

• The ability to effectively manage labour, materials and competing priorities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A practical approach to problem solving and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

• The ability to build positive relationships and promote a strong team culture
