Head of Medical Centres

The Head of Medical Centres is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and oversight across our national network of medical centres. This role leads the operational leadership team to drive operational excellence, commercial performance, patient experience, workforce capability, and compliance outcomes. As a key member of the leadership team, this role is responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies that support sustainable growth, strengthen healthcare professional engagement, improve organisational capability, and ensure our centres consistently deliver high-quality healthcare services to the communities we serve.

-          Lead the operational performance of Cornerstone Health's network of medical centres

-          Develop and execute operational strategies that support organisational objectives, operational governance, quality improvement and growth.

-          Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop State Managers, Operations Managers, Practice Managers, and emerging leaders.

-          Monitor and improve key operational, financial, workforce, and patient experience metrics.

-          Ensure operational frameworks, policies, and processes are consistently implemented across the network.

-          Lead the further digitisation of processes to improve patient and/or doctor experience and remove low-value processes from the operating model

-          Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and service excellence.

-          Partner with the HR function to attract, retain, and develop high-performing employees.

-          Build strong relationships with clinical lead GPs, and other GPs and HCPs across the network.

-          Act as a senior escalation point for operational, workforce, and service delivery matters.

-          Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated business outcomes.

-          Champion a patient-centred culture and drive improvements in patient satisfaction, access to care, service delivery, and operational efficiency.

-          Oversee centre performance against budget, wages, productivity, and profitability targets.

-          Maintain oversight of accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance across all centres.

-          Ensure incidents, hazards, complaints, and compliance activities are appropriately managed.

-          Lead major operational projects, transformation initiatives, and organisational change programs.

-          Oversee the growth of the network including the opening of new medical centres and other practice acquisitions

-          Use data and insights to identify improvement opportunities and inform decision-making.

-          Contribute to organisational planning, annual charters, and long-term strategic objectives
